My journey towards chemical free products started when my daughter started getting allergies every time she comes out of the bath. I didn’t know what caused those allergies and my heart just bleeds whenever I see my daughter covered with itchy bumps.
Then I started reading about chemicals and how it is absorbed by the body through the skin. I would think that the ingredients in baby products would have been tested for safety, but I often wonder why my daughter develops allergies if these baby products are considered safe.
So my journey towards using chemical free products began.
I would say that this is a commitment that does not come with a price, literally. Chemical free products are not necessarily more expensive than their chemical-laden counterparts. But if I have to suffer through my little girl scratching her bum so hard that it leaves scratch marks, I would pay more to ease her discomfort.
Shopping for chemical free products may be hard, but I found this wonderful site that features chemical free baby products all in one web page. If you’d like to check it out, here are some chemical free baby products.
As I explore the different products, I’ll let you know more about what I have found out about chemical free products for the entire family in this blog so come back for updates.
